Indian National Among Four Killed In Georgia Shooting

An Indian national was among four people killed in a shooting linked to a family dispute in the US state of Georgia. The incident occurred early Friday morning at a residence in Lawrenceville, near Atlanta, where police found multiple adults with fatal gunshot wounds.

Children Hide And Call Emergency Services

Three children were present in the house at the time of the shooting. To protect themselves, they hid inside a closet while the incident unfolded. A 12-year-old child made a 911 call from the hiding spot, which helped alert authorities and bring police to the scene. The children were not injured and were later taken into protective care.

Arrest And Investigation

Police arrested a 51-year-old man at the scene without resistance and charged him with multiple counts, including murder and aggravated assault. Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute that escalated into violence. The exact sequence of events and motive are still under investigation. Indian authorities have confirmed that one of the victims was an Indian national and said consular assistance is being provided to the family.
