Indian Army Strikes Terror Launchpads Near LoC in Retaliatory Action

In a bold and calculated military response, the Indian Army destroyed multiple terrorist launchpads situated near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Defence confirmed on Saturday. The strikes were conducted on Friday in retaliation for a series of cross-border provocations, including drone incursions and attempted infiltrations orchestrated from Pakistani territory.

According to the Army, the targeted sites had been under continuous surveillance and were identified as active hubs facilitating the movement of militants and arms into Indian territory. These launchpads, often used as forward bases for infiltration operations, were eliminated through precision artillery and coordinated firepower, ensuring maximum impact and minimal collateral damage.

Army Releases Video Footage of Precision Strikes

In a rare move to underscore the scale and accuracy of the operation, the Indian Army released official video footage of the strikes. The clips show targeted artillery fire destroying structures located in mountainous terrain close to the LoC, confirming successful hits on known terror infrastructure.

The Indian Army’s swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities,” the Army said in an official statement, highlighting the operation as a deterrent to further misadventures by hostile elements across the border.

Heightened Vigilance Following Drone Attacks

The targeted strikes come amid heightened tensions following a spate of drone attacks on Indian military and civilian locations. Pakistan is accused of orchestrating these assaults using loitering munitions and armed UAVs, several of which were intercepted in recent days in areas like Jammu, Pathankot, Bhuj, and Ferozpur.

Security forces have since been placed on high alert across northern states, with counter-infiltration measures intensified along the LoC. The destruction of launchpads is expected to temporarily disrupt infiltration routes and logistical support to terror outfits operating out of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

As India fortifies its defences and maintains pressure on cross-border terror infrastructure, the international community continues to monitor the unfolding situation, with calls for restraint alongside support for India’s right to defend its sovereignty.
