India Sweep Zimbabwe 3-0 in T20I Series

India completed a 3-0 T20I series sweep over Zimbabwe with a 35-run victory in the third and final match at Harare Sports Club, led by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s impressive 81.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Powers India

After electing to bat, India lost Abhishek Sharma early but recovered through Sooryavanshi and Ishan Kishan. The teenage opener struck 81 from 49 deliveries, hitting eight fours and four sixes.

Kishan contributed 29 before Zimbabwe attempted to slow India’s scoring through the middle overs. Contributions from the remaining batters helped the visitors reach 192 for five from their allotted 20 overs.

Brad Evans was Zimbabwe’s leading bowler with two wickets, but the hosts were left needing nearly 10 runs per over to avoid a series whitewash.

Mayank Yadav Leads Indian Attack

Zimbabwe made a difficult start to their chase as Mayank Yadav dismissed Brian Bennett without scoring. The hosts slipped to 66 for four before their middle order attempted a recovery.

Ryan Burl remained unbeaten on 54, while Wessly Madhevere contributed 28. Their efforts helped Zimbabwe reach 157 for seven, but the target remained beyond reach.

Mayank finished with three wickets for 29 runs, while Yash Thakur claimed two for 45. India’s bowlers maintained control despite Zimbabwe’s late resistance.

India Complete Zimbabwe Series Sweep

Sooryavanshi was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series after scoring 151 runs across the three games. The 15-year-old recorded two half-centuries during a breakthrough international series.

The clean sweep delivered Shreyas Iyer his first series victory as India’s T20I captain. India had entered the tour following series defeats against Ireland and England, making the dominant Zimbabwe performance an important return to winning form.
