India Slams Pakistan at UN Over Civilians
At the United Nations, India strongly condemned Pakistan over its treatment of civilians, accusing Islamabad of “bombing its own people” and deflecting international scrutiny with “baseless” claims against India.
Indian Response at the UN
In remarks during a Human Rights Council session, India’s delegate highlighted a recent airstrike in Matre Dara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which Pakistan allegedly carried out on its own citizenry. India questioned Pakistan’s moral standing to lecture others on human rights while such actions persisted.
India also called Pakistan’s repeated mentions of Kashmir a “delusional tirade,” and urged the world to see through what it described as propaganda aimed at masking Pakistan’s internal issues.
Pakistan’s Position and International View
Pakistan has not formally responded to the latest accusations at the UN level. Observers note that tensions remain high over the Kashmir dispute, frequent cross-border skirmishes, and persistent claims and counterclaims. India’s interventions at global forums suggest it is seeking to shift the narrative internationally before disputes escalate further.
As the diplomatic standoff continues, the UN platform is becoming a battleground over historical grievances, territorial claims, and human rights narratives between the two nations.
