India Seen A Global Voice Of Balance, Says Rajnath Singh
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India has emerged as a “voice of balance and responsibility” in a rapidly shifting global environment. Speaking at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue in New Delhi, he noted that nations across the Indo-Pacific and the Global South increasingly view India as a reliable partner due to its economic strength, technological capabilities and pragmatic diplomacy.
Peace First, But No Compromise On Security
Singh stressed that while India advocates peace and dialogue, it does not compromise on sovereignty or national security. He said recent defence reforms and improved capabilities have strengthened India’s ability to respond to modern threats, including terrorism, cyber warfare and maritime challenges.
Push For Defence Self-Reliance
Highlighting the need for rapid modernisation, the minister emphasised expanding indigenous defence manufacturing under Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He said investments in border infrastructure, new technologies and maritime security are essential to protect national interests.
India’s Role In A Changing World
Singh added that India’s stable governance model, digital infrastructure and humanitarian approach have enhanced global trust. He said a strong and self-reliant India contributes to regional stability and global economic balance.
