India Rejects Pakistan’s Claims on Balochistan Violence
India has rejected Pakistan’s allegations that it was involved in attacks in Balochistan, calling the claims “frivolous” and without evidence. The Indian government said Islamabad’s accusations are an attempt to deflect attention from domestic issues and do not reflect facts.
Pakistan’s Allegations and India’s Response
Pakistan’s foreign office had accused India of supporting militant groups behind recent violent incidents in Balochistan province. India’s Ministry of External Affairs denied the charges, stating there is no credible proof linking India to the attacks or insurgent activities in the region. New Delhi emphasised that India respects Pakistan’s sovereignty and rejects interference in its internal affairs.
Regional Tensions and Diplomatic Exchanges
The exchange of allegations comes amid longstanding tensions between India and Pakistan over security and cross-border militancy. Analysts say Islamabad’s public statements may be aimed at boosting domestic political narratives as well as justifying security operations in Balochistan and western Pakistan. India reiterated its commitment to peaceful relations and urged Pakistan to focus on constructive dialogue.
