India, Kazakhstan Seek to Deepen Military Ties

India and Kazakhstan have held high-level defence consultations to strengthen military cooperation. A Kazakh delegation led by Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov, First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff, met with Indian defence leaders including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth in separate meetings.

Focus on Innovation and Security

The discussions emphasized a robust and dynamic defence partnership, with both sides expressing eagerness to enhance collaboration and innovation in joint training, defence industry cooperation, and regional security. The Kazakh delegation also visited India’s National Defence College to explore further avenues for military-technical collaboration and capacity building.

Strengthening Regional Stability

Officials from both nations reiterated their shared commitment to regional peace and stability. They agreed that expanding military-to-military ties and cooperation in defence technology could help address evolving geopolitical challenges and boost mutual preparedness.
