India, Israel Deepen MASHAV Partnership
India and Israel have discussed expanding their development partnership through MASHAV, Israel’s international development cooperation agency. The talks focused on strengthening collaboration in agriculture, water management, capacity building and exploring new areas such as aquaculture.

India’s Ambassador to Israel, J.P. Singh, met MASHAV chief Eynat Shlein in Jerusalem to review ongoing cooperation and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
The discussions focused on expanding development initiatives that combine Israeli expertise with India’s large-scale agricultural and water management requirements.
Both sides also explored ways to deepen existing institutional partnerships and strengthen technical exchanges between experts.
Agriculture and Water Cooperation in Focus
Agriculture remains one of the strongest pillars of India-Israel development cooperation. The two countries have worked together through Centres of Excellence that promote advanced farming techniques, irrigation systems, crop management and agricultural technology.
During the latest discussions, both sides examined further capacity-building programmes in agriculture and water management, areas where Israeli technology and expertise have played an important role in bilateral cooperation.
India and Israel Explore Aquaculture Cooperation
Aquaculture emerged as a potential new area for collaboration, with the two countries discussing opportunities to apply technology and expertise to fisheries and aquatic food production.
MASHAV operates under Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and works with partner countries by sharing technical expertise, knowledge and development technologies.
The latest engagement reflects efforts by India and Israel to broaden their development partnership beyond traditional cooperation while strengthening practical, technology-driven projects in key sectors.
