
India Condemns Killing of Journalists in Gaza
India’s Ministry of External Affairs condemned the killing of journalists in Gaza’s Khan Younis, describing the incident as “shocking and deeply regrettable.” The government reaffirmed its opposition to the loss of civilian lives, particularly those carrying out essential duties in conflict areas.
Nasser Hospital Strike Kills Journalists
The incident took place following a reported “double-tap” Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza. At least 22 people, including five journalists, were killed when a second strike hit as rescuers and reporters gathered at the site.
Call for Investigation
India noted that Israeli authorities have initiated an investigation into the strike. The MEA urged all parties to respect international humanitarian law and ensure the protection of civilians and journalists in war zones.
