India Briefs 70 Nations on Operation Sindoor’s Success

In a major diplomatic outreach, India has briefed representatives from 70 countries on the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. This large-scale international briefing, held at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment, was conducted to emphasize India’s military precision, joint force capabilities, and unwavering commitment to counter-terrorism.

The session was led by Lieutenant General D. S. Rana, Director General of the Defence Intelligence Agency, who offered a comprehensive 30-minute presentation on the planning, execution, and achievements of the operation. Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 Indian civilians, most of them tourists.

Operation Sindoor Briefing

Lt Gen Rana highlighted that targets were carefully selected based on confirmed intelligence about terror linkages. He stressed that the Indian response was not only swift but also marked by strategic coordination between the Army, Air Force, and Navy. The operation displayed India’s growing capability in multi-domain warfare and its ability to project power in a calibrated and lawful manner.

India’s outreach was also aimed at countering the disinformation campaigns initiated by hostile entities in the wake of the operation. The Army showcased a factual record of the adversary’s propaganda and its attempts to distort the nature of the military response. By doing so, India reiterated its “whole-of-nation” approach to defending its sovereignty and regional peace.

Countering Terror and Propaganda

The briefing further explained that Operation Sindoor targeted specific terrorist infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The objective was to dismantle the logistical and operational ecosystem that enables cross-border terrorism. Indian officials assured foreign diplomats that all measures were taken to avoid civilian harm, reinforcing the moral high ground India maintains in its anti-terror policy.

The interaction with foreign envoys also served to build global consensus against state-sponsored terrorism. It marked a rare and transparent insight into India’s defense posture, encouraging international solidarity on issues of regional security and lawful military conduct.

India’s firm yet restrained response, and its willingness to explain it to the world, sends a strong message: while it will not tolerate attacks on its civilians, it remains committed to upholding international norms in warfare and diplomacy.
