India Bloc to Unveil Common Poll Manifesto Soon
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that INDIA bloc parties in Bihar are united ahead of the assembly elections. Speaking during the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Araria with RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, he underlined the alliance’s ideological and political alignment and voiced confidence in positive results.
Common Manifesto Planned
Rahul announced that the INDIA bloc will release a joint manifesto for the state elections later this year. He stressed that all opposition partners are working together with clarity of purpose, both politically and ideologically.
Criticism of BJP and EC
At a press briefing, Rahul accused the BJP-RSS of shutting down opportunities for Dalits, backward classes, women, and the poor. He also alleged that they were attempting to weaken the Constitution. He further attacked the Election Commission, saying the Special Intensive Revision of voter rolls was being used as an “institutionalised” method of vote theft to benefit the BJP.
Voter Adhikar Yatra Progress
The Voter Adhikar Yatra, launched on August 17 from Sasaram, entered Purnea on Sunday. Rahul and Tejashwi rode motorcycles with supporters through Araria, drawing large crowds of residents who joined in to back the campaign.
