India Advises Citizens In Bahrain

India has issued a safety advisory for its citizens in Bahrain, asking them to remain vigilant and follow instructions issued by local authorities as tensions continue to rise in West Asia. The advisory was issued by the Indian Embassy in Bahrain, which said it is operating normally while monitoring the situation closely.

India Issues Bahrain Safety Advisory

The embassy urged Indian nationals in Bahrain to exercise caution and stay updated through official advisories. It asked citizens to follow both embassy updates and local safety guidelines in view of the prevailing regional situation. The move comes as governments across the Gulf remain on alert over the wider spillover risks from the ongoing conflict in the region.

Embassy In Bahrain Continues Normal Operations

The Indian mission said its operations in Bahrain are continuing as usual. At the same time, it indicated that assistance efforts are being prioritised for stranded Indian nationals, especially tourists and those on short-term visas who may need help with onward travel. The advisory suggests that the government is balancing routine consular work with contingency planning for citizens affected by regional disruptions.

Saudi Transit Process Activated For Indians

The embassy also referred travellers to a standard operating procedure for transit through Saudi Arabia. Under this process, Indian nationals must hold a confirmed onward ticket to India and present the required embassy note to Saudi immigration authorities. Officials said Saudi transit visas issued through this channel are valid for 72 to 96 hours. Requests are being coordinated through the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, which is obtaining individual transit approvals from Saudi authorities.

The advisory reflects India’s broader effort to keep its citizens informed and supported as uncertainty continues in West Asia. With travel routes and regional movement under pressure, Indian missions in the Gulf are stepping up coordination to help nationals navigate the situation safely.
