High Alert Raised in Mysuru Division
The Karnataka State Police (KSP) has placed its Mysuru rail and road sectors on heightened alert following the major explosion at Delhi’s Red Fort metro station. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah instructed the Director General of Police to increase surveillance across the division.
Increased Security Measures
In the Mysuru region, security forces have boosted patrols at railway stations, bus stands and major transit points. Baggage screenings and checkpoint inspections have been intensified, and night-time surveillance has been reinforced to monitor unmanned items and unusual movements. Officials say additional personnel have been deployed and explosives-detection teams are on standby.
Reason for the Alert
The blowout near the Red Fort triggered nationwide concern. Karnataka authorities mentioned that while no specific threat against Mysuru has been confirmed, the state is acting proactively to prevent any spill-over or linked incidents. Coordination with the Central agencies is ongoing and intelligence sharing has been stepped up.
