The remarks followed demonstrations by students demanding action over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations and greater transparency in the selection process.
Jharkhand Government Cancels JPSC Exams
Amid the protests, the Jharkhand government announced the cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission preliminary examination.
Backlog examinations conducted in previous years are also set to be reviewed, while investigations into other recruitment tests and examination processes will continue.
The government has maintained that corrective action will be taken wherever irregularities are established.
Jharkhand Recruitment System Faces Overhaul
Soren has also indicated that the state recruitment examination system will undergo wider reforms aimed at improving transparency and credibility.
The government is considering seeking technical and institutional inputs from leading educational organisations to strengthen examination procedures and prevent future controversies.
The issue has intensified the political confrontation between the ruling JMM-led alliance and the BJP, with recruitment examinations and student protests emerging as a major flashpoint in Jharkhand politics.
