Helicopter Crash Near Pune Kills Three; Cause of Accident Under Investigation

A tragic helicopter crash occurred near Bavdhan Budruk village in Pune, Maharashtra, early Wednesday morning, claiming the lives of three individuals on board. The incident was reported to the Hinjewadi Police Control Room by local residents shortly after the chopper went down.

Chopper Crashes Near Oxford Golf Club Helipad

According to preliminary reports, the helicopter crashed just 1.5 kilometers away from the Oxford Golf Club helipad after taking off. The ill-fated aircraft had two pilots and an engineer on board. The crash site, located in a hilly area near the Bavdhan region, is believed to have caught fire immediately after impact, as confirmed by police officials.

Emergency Teams Respond to the Crash

Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Chaubey stated, “Our teams along with fire department vehicles have reached the spot.” Emergency responders, including two ambulances and four fire tenders, were quickly dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and recover the bodies.

The crash took place at approximately 6:45 AM.
