Government Panel Proposes Private Sector Participation
In a strategic move to enhance India’s defense manufacturing capabilities, a high-level government panel has recommended involving private sector companies in the production of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk1A. The panel suggests that allocating a portion of the production to qualified private firms could alleviate pressure on HAL’s facilities and ensure timely delivery to the Indian Air Force (IAF).

Companies already engaged in discussions for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program are considered strong candidates for this collaboration.
