Google India Ad Revenue Rises in FY25
Google India reported an 11.3% rise in gross advertising revenue in the financial year ended March 2025, reaching ₹34,742 crore. The growth reflects continued strength in digital advertising demand across the Indian market.
Net Revenue Under Pressure
Despite higher gross ad revenue, Google India’s net advertising income declined during the year due to increased payouts to group entities for the purchase of advertising inventory. These higher costs reduced the amount retained locally after expenses.
Other Business Segments
Revenue from enterprise and cloud-related services recorded strong growth, supporting overall operations. However, total revenue from operations increased only modestly, indicating pressure from rising costs and transfers within the group.
Stable Profit Performance
Google India’s profit remained largely stable compared to the previous year, suggesting controlled expenses despite revenue headwinds. The company continues to benefit from India’s expanding internet user base and growing digital ecosystem.
