Gaza Rescuers Report Civilians Killed by Israeli Fire Near Aid Centers
Gaza’s civil defence agency has reported that Israeli forces killed at least 20 civilians, including six who were waiting in line for food distribution at aid collection points in central Gaza. These victims came under bullets and tank shells during their attempt to access vital supplies amid mounting shortages. Reports suggest that more than 500 people have been killed near aid sites since late May, raising alarm among humanitarian organizations.
In a separate incident, at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza on a single day, with three of the deaths also occurring at an aid distribution queue in the Netzarim Corridor. Such incidents have intensified global concern over civilian safety and the increasing danger faced by people seeking relief.
Gaza Aid
Aid distribution points, intended as safe zones, have unfortunately become sites of violence. The frequent targeting of civilians lining up for food has led to widespread condemnation from humanitarian groups calling for guaranteed protection for aid operations.
Civilian Casualties
The loss of civilian life near aid centers highlights the increasingly perilous environment within which relief efforts are being conducted. These casualties add to growing concerns about the disproportionate impact on non-combatants and the erosion of humanitarian norms.
Israeli Fire
Despite mounting evidence of civilian deaths tied to military action, Israeli authorities have launched probes into some of the incidents. Yet questions remain about intent, accountability, and whether adequate measures are being taken to prevent further tragedies.
