Five Tejas Jets Ready for IAF Delivery says HAL
Five Light Combat Aircraft Tejas jets are ready for delivery to the Indian Air Force, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited said, marking continued progress in indigenous fighter production.
Tejas Jets Delivery IAF
HAL confirmed the aircraft have completed production and testing requirements and are prepared for induction into the Indian Air Force fleet. The jets are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen combat capability with domestically manufactured platforms.
Officials indicated deliveries are being carried out under existing procurement orders aimed at expanding squadron strength.
Indigenous Fighter Programme Progress
The Tejas programme forms a key component of India’s self reliance initiative in defence manufacturing. The aircraft is designed as a multi role lightweight fighter capable of air defence, interception and ground attack operations.
Production has been gradually scaled up to meet operational requirements and reduce dependence on imported combat aircraft.
Defence Manufacturing Capability
The deliveries reflect increasing domestic aerospace manufacturing capacity and collaboration between defence agencies and industry partners. Additional aircraft are expected to be supplied in phases as production continues.
Authorities stated the induction will support fleet modernisation and operational readiness of the air force.
