Five Delhi Schools Receive Bomb Threat Emails

Five prominent schools in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Wednesday, leading to immediate evacuations and extensive security checks. The schools targeted included institutions in Dwarka, Vasant Kunj, Paschim Vihar, Hauz Khas, and Lodi Estate. As a precaution, all students and staff were evacuated and bomb disposal teams conducted thorough inspections. No explosives were found at any of the locations.

Repeated Incidents Cause Growing Concern

This is the third consecutive day that schools in the national capital have received such threats. The latest alerts follow similar incidents reported on Monday and Tuesday at other educational institutions. Authorities have not discovered any explosive material in any of the schools, confirming that all threats so far have been hoaxes.

Police and Security Agencies on High Alert

Delhi Police, along with fire services, anti-sabotage teams, and dog squads, responded swiftly to each threat. The police have launched a comprehensive investigation to trace the origin of the emails, with cybercrime teams analyzing the messages for digital footprints. A dedicated task force is now overseeing the probe, attempting to determine if a single group or individual is responsible for the string of threats.

Parents and Schools Urged to Stay Calm

The repeated hoax threats have caused anxiety among students, parents, and school staff. Authorities have asked schools to remain vigilant and follow security protocols while urging parents not to panic. Educational institutions are also reviewing their emergency response systems to ensure safety in case of real emergencies.

Pattern Suggests Coordinated Disruption Attempt

Security officials believe the threats may be part of a coordinated attempt to disrupt normal schooling activities. Since May 2024, multiple schools in Delhi have been targeted in a similar fashion, but no arrests have been made so far. Investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
