First Calm Night Along LoC After Ceasefire Agreement

In a significant development, the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan experienced its first calm night following a recently established ceasefire. The Indian Army reported no incidents across Jammu and Kashmir and other areas along the International Border, marking a peaceful turn after days of intense cross-border firing.

The ceasefire, agreed upon by both nations, aimed to halt all military actions on land, air, and sea. Despite initial violations, including drone sightings in Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Gujarat, the situation stabilized, leading to a night devoid of hostilities.

This tranquility comes after a period of heightened tensions, with both countries engaged in intense firing for four days. The ceasefire agreement, effective from 5 pm on Saturday, was a crucial step towards de-escalation.

The Indian Army remains vigilant, emphasizing its commitment to maintaining peace along the border. The recent calm is a hopeful sign for residents in the region, who have endured the brunt of the conflict.
