FBI Investigates Hunting Stand Near AF1 Exit

Federal agents announced they are investigating the discovery of an elevated hunting stand located approximately 200 yards from the area where Donald Trump exits Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. The United States Secret Service (USSS) found the structure during advance security preparations ahead of Mr. Trump’s arrival.

Investigation details

The stand was described as an elevated platform or tree-mounted structure with a clear line of sight toward the aircraft’s exit zone. No weapons or persons were found at the scene. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken the lead in the probe, deploying cell-phone tracking and forensic teams to determine the origin and purpose of the platform.

Security context

The airport’s layout had been temporarily altered due to construction, leading to the aircraft being parked in a less restricted zone, which may have increased exposure. The Secret Service said no flight or transport operations were disrupted.

Moving forward

Investigators emphasized the incident underscores the importance of layered security measures around high-profile aircraft and personnel. They are continuing to analyse surveillance footage, physical evidence and communications in the area.
