Emirates Cancels UAE–US Flights Due To Winter Storm
Emirates Airlines has cancelled multiple flights between Dubai and the United States because of Storm Fern, a powerful winter storm causing heavy snow, ice and dangerous conditions across large parts of the US. The cancellations affect flights scheduled from January 24 to January 26, 2026, as the airline adjusts operations amid the severe weather.
Impact On Passengers
The affected routes include services to New York, Dallas, Washington and other US cities, with some flights in both directions called off. Emirates has advised travellers to check the status of their flights and contact the airline or their travel agents for rebooking. Passengers connecting through Dubai on cancelled flights are not being accepted for travel at their original departure points.
Ongoing Disruption In US Skies
Storm Fern has disrupted aviation across the US, with thousands of flights cancelled or delayed by heavy snow and freezing rain. Major carriers have also adjusted schedules and warned of further travel interruptions as the storm continues. Airports in the Northeast, Midwest and Southern states are among those hardest hit by the extreme weather.
