Drug Racket Busted In Telangana, 12 Arrested

Police from Maharashtra’s Mira-Bhayandar-Vasai-Virar unit uncovered a large-scale mephedrone (MD) manufacturing operation in Hyderabad’s Cherlapally area, Telangana. The raid led to the arrest of 12 individuals, including an IT expert and a 23-year-old Bangladeshi woman, linked to the illegal syndicate.

Massive Seizure Of Chemicals And Drugs

Authorities seized approximately 5.8 kg of MD, along with 35,500 litres of raw chemicals, 950 kg of powdered substances, and manufacturing equipment. Vehicles and mobile phones used in the operation were also confiscated.

Network Traced Through Arrest

The breakthrough began when a Bangladeshi woman was arrested in Mumbai carrying MD. Investigators traced the drug supply network to the Cherlapally factory, prompting the follow-up raid and arrests.

Investigation Underway Across Region

Officials say the manufacturing setup had been operating covertly for years. Investigators are probing further to identify the masterminds and the full scope of the trafficking network.
