India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved a significant milestone with the successful testing of the Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRAShM), a hypersonic glide weapon that reached speeds of Mach 10, or approximately 12,144 kilometers per hour. The LRAShM was successfully tested on November 16, 2024, from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island, off the coast of Odisha.
