Delhi Schools Hit by Third Bomb Threat in Four Days

At least six schools in Delhi received bomb threats via email on Thursday morning, the third such incident in just four days. The threats sparked panic among parents and led to swift evacuations as authorities rushed to secure the premises.

Threats Sent by Email

According to police, the threatening emails were received between 6:30 am and 7:45 am by institutions including Andhra Education Society Senior Secondary School in Prasad Nagar, BGS International Public School in Dwarka, Rao Man Singh Senior Secondary School in Najafgarh, Convent School in Najafgarh, Maxfort School in Dwarka, and Indraprastha International School in Dwarka Sector 10.

Security Response

Police teams, fire brigades, and bomb disposal squads were immediately dispatched to all the affected schools. The campuses were thoroughly searched and declared safe, with authorities confirming that the threats were hoaxes. Despite this, security officials maintained heightened alertness across the capital.

Series of Hoax Threats

The scare follows two earlier incidents this week. On Monday, at least 32 schools received similar threats. On Wednesday, more than 50 schools were targeted with emails reportedly sent by a group calling itself “Terrorizers 111.” In both cases, no explosives were found and the emails were classified as hoaxes.

Investigation Underway

Delhi Police have launched a joint cyber investigation to trace the origin of the emails and determine if the incidents are connected. Officials said stronger security checks will now be carried out at schools, and parents have been urged to remain calm while protocols are reviewed.
