Delhi Police have arrested a man from Mysuru for allegedly sending multiple hoax bomb threat emails to government offices, schools and courts, triggering panic and repeated security responses over the past month. The accused, identified as Srinivas, is now being taken to Delhi for further questioning as investigators examine the scale of the threats and his possible motives.

According to police inputs, the accused had allegedly been operating from a house in Brindavan Layout in Mysuru. Officials said he sent multiple emails warning of explosions at sensitive locations, causing widespread alarm and forcing authorities to treat the threats seriously. The case gathered attention after repeated hoax alerts were reported over several weeks.

Investigation Traced Threat Emails To Mysuru

Police said the breakthrough came after technical surveillance and digital tracking helped trace the source of the messages to Mysuru. A Delhi Police team then carried out a surprise operation with assistance from local police in the city. During the raid, officers detained the accused and recovered several SIM cards along with a laptop believed to have been used to send the emails.

Further Probe To Examine Motive And Network

Investigators are now expected to examine the seized devices to determine whether the accused acted alone or had any support. The questioning will also focus on why repeated threats were sent and whether any additional locations were targeted. The case highlights the seriousness with which security agencies are treating fake bomb threats, given the disruption they cause to public institutions and emergency services.
