Commercial LPG Price Hiked By Rs 195.50

Commercial LPG prices were raised sharply on April 1, with state-run fuel retailers increasing the rate of a 19-kg cylinder by Rs 195.50 amid higher global oil prices linked to the West Asia conflict. The latest revision adds to cost pressure on hotels, restaurants and small businesses that rely on commercial gas.

Commercial LPG Price Hike In India

A 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs Rs 2,078.50 in Delhi after the latest increase. This follows another hike of Rs 114.50 per cylinder on March 1, showing that commercial cooking fuel prices have continued to climb over the past two months.

West Asia Conflict Pushes Oil Costs Higher

The price revision comes as global oil prices have surged because of disruption fears and supply pressure linked to the widening conflict in West Asia. Since LPG and other petroleum products are revised in line with international benchmarks and exchange-rate movements, higher crude-linked costs have now fed into India’s monthly commercial LPG pricing.

Domestic LPG Price Remains Unchanged

While commercial users have been hit by a fresh increase, domestic cooking gas prices remain unchanged for now. A 14.2-kg household LPG cylinder continues to cost Rs 913 in Delhi. Oil companies revise LPG and aviation turbine fuel prices on the first day of each month, but petrol and diesel remain unchanged, with prices still reflecting the Rs 2 per litre cut announced last year.
