CNG Price In Delhi Hiked Again
CNG prices in Delhi-NCR have been increased by Re 1 per kg, marking the third hike in 10 days. The latest revision has raised fresh concerns for commuters, auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi operators and other transport users already facing higher fuel costs.
Delhi CNG Price Rises To ₹81.09 Per Kg
After the latest hike, CNG will cost ₹81.09 per kg in Delhi. In Noida and Ghaziabad, the revised price stands at ₹89.70 per kg.
This is the third increase in a short period. CNG prices were first raised by ₹2 per kg on May 15, followed by another Re 1 hike on May 18. The latest revision has added further pressure on daily transport expenses in the National Capital Region.
CNG Price Hike Adds Pressure On Transport Costs
The repeated hikes are expected to affect auto-rickshaw, taxi and app-based cab operators who rely heavily on CNG. Higher fuel costs may also increase pressure for fare revisions if prices continue to rise.
For daily commuters, the impact may be indirect at first, but sustained increases in CNG prices can raise the operating cost of public and private transport services.
Fuel Prices Rise Amid Global Energy Stress
The CNG hike comes at a time when fuel prices have also moved upward. Petrol and diesel prices have seen fresh increases, adding to concerns over broader transport inflation.
Higher global energy costs, supply disruptions and volatility linked to tensions in West Asia have contributed to pressure on domestic fuel pricing. The latest increase signals that consumers may continue to face higher mobility costs if energy markets remain unstable.
