Charlie Kirk Fatally Shot During Utah Campus Event

Charlie Kirk, 31, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot in the neck during a campus event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m. MDT, while he was speaking under a tent at “The American Comeback Tour.” About 3,000 people were in attendance.

Shooter And Investigation

Authorities believe a single shot was fired from a rooftop building called the Losee Center, located roughly 200 yards (about 180–200 metres) away from the tent. A person of interest was taken into custody but later released; no suspect is currently charged. A manhunt is ongoing.

Aftermath And Reactions

Following the shot, the crowd panicked and dispersed. Kirk was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Political figures from both sides condemned the attack. Utah Governor Spencer Cox described it as a political assassination.
