Case Filed Against Vijay and His Security

Tamil actor and politician Vijay, president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has been booked by the Kunnam Police along with his bouncers after a complaint was filed alleging rough handling during a party event.

Allegation from a Party Worker

The complainant, Sarathkumar of Perambalur, alleged that as Vijay took the stage at a rally, his security personnel pushed and manhandled him along with others who tried to approach the leader. The incident reportedly occurred at a TVK public conference in Madurai on August 21.

FIR Registered Under IPC Sections

Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered under three sections of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the alleged assault. The case has drawn significant attention because of Vijay’s growing presence in state politics.

Political Repercussions Loom

The charges come at a time when Vijay is preparing for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Analysts suggest the controversy could impact his public image and campaign strategy, adding political weight to what began as a crowd control incident.
