Bomb Threat Emails Lead to Evacuations at Delhi Schools

Several schools in Delhi, including DPS Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and ShreeRam World School in Dwarka’s Sector 10, received bomb threat emails early Monday morning. Immediate safety measures were taken: students and staff were evacuated, alerting police, bomb disposal squads, and emergency services. Security searches were launched across all affected premises.

Thorough Searches, No Explosives Found

Authorities treated the threats with high seriousness, continuing full-scale security sweeps. While no suspicious items were discovered, the operations underscored ongoing concerns about the methods and motives of those behind such alerts.

Context of Frequent Hoax Calls

This is part of an ongoing series of bomb hoax incidents in Delhi schools. In mid-July, within a span of three days, nearly ten schools and a college—including St. Stephen’s College and St. Thomas School—received similar threat emails. All were later confirmed as hoaxes, yet caused widespread panic and emergency responses.

Remarkable Motivation Behind Threats Revealed

Police investigations unearthed an unexpected source behind recent hoax emails: a 12-year-old Class VIII student from another city school. He admitted to sending the threatening messages to Delhi educational institutions as a prank. The emails were routed through a German domain, complicating the origin trace before the police intervened.
