Boat Capsizes Off Mozambique, 3 Indians Dead

At least three Indian nationals have died after a launch capsized off the coast of Beira, Mozambique, the Indian High Commission confirmed. Five others remain missing, while several were rescued and are receiving medical care.

Incident During Crew Transfer

Officials said the boat was ferrying crew members to a tanker when it overturned in a crew transfer operation. A total of 14 Indian nationals were onboard at the time. The exact causes of the capsizing are under investigation.

Rescue and Investigation Underway

Search and rescue operations continue with coordination between Indian and Mozambican authorities. A consular officer from India is stationed in Beira to assist survivors and support the families of the deceased.
