
Blast During Cricket Match Kills One, Injures Several
A bomb blast struck the Kausar Cricket Ground in Khar tehsil, Bajaur district, in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday evening during a local cricket match. The explosion claimed the life of one person and injured several others, including children.
IED Blast Caused Panic On The Field
Officials confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) caused the blast. Eyewitnesses described scenes of fear and chaos, with spectators and players running for cover as smoke and debris filled the air.
Victim And Medical Response
The deceased was identified locally as Fazlullah. Among the injured was at least one child. All victims were transported to the district headquarters hospital in Khar for urgent treatment.
Security Forces Respond And Investigation Begins
Authorities cordoned off the site promptly. Security officials labeled the explosion a targeted attack and launched an investigation into the motives and perpetrators. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility.
