Bihar on High Alert After JeM Terrorists Enter
Bihar Police have sounded a high alert after intelligence agencies reported that three operatives of the Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed entered the state through the Nepal border. Authorities circulated sketches of the suspects and instructed all districts to tighten security measures.
Identities of the Suspects Revealed
The three identified men are Hasnain Ali from Rawalpindi, Adil Hussain from Umarkot, and Mohammad Usman from Bahawalpur. Security agencies have intensified checks at border points and sensitive locations. Patrolling has been stepped up near key transit routes, airports, and tourist hubs to prevent possible attacks.
Security Tightened Ahead of Elections
With Bihar moving toward assembly polls, the timing of the infiltration has raised concerns. Police, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), and Special Task Force (STF) units have been placed on high alert to secure political gatherings and crowded venues. Officials said layered surveillance will continue until the threat is fully neutralized.
