Bharat Forge Partners with AMD to Manufacture ‘Made in India’ Servers

Bharat Forge’s subsidiary, Kalyani Powertrain, has announced a strategic partnership with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) to manufacture servers in India. This collaboration aims to enhance India’s server infrastructure by integrating AMD’s advanced technology into domestically produced solutions.

The servers developed through this partnership will feature AMD EPYC processors, known for their high performance, energy efficiency, and robust security features. These processors are designed to reduce the total cost of ownership for data centers, making them more sustainable and cost-effective.

Kalyani Group Chairman Baba Kalyani and Vice Chairman & Joint Managing Director Amit Kalyani emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating that manufacturing these servers in India will not only advance technological capabilities but also support the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Vinay Sinha, AMD’s Corporate Vice President, highlighted the potential growth in India’s server industry and expressed excitement about bringing high-performance AMD computing solutions to the Indian market through this partnership.

This initiative is poised to meet the increasing demand for high-performance computing across various sectors, including automotive, telecommunications, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. By bolstering India’s data infrastructure with advanced AMD technologies, the collaboration aims to accelerate digital transformation and position India as a significant player in the global AI and cloud computing landscape.
