BCCI To Honour Binny, Rahu Dravid, Mithali Raj

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will honour former cricketers Roger Binny, Rahul Dravid and Mithali Raj with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the Naman Awards 2026. The recognition acknowledges their long-standing contributions to Indian cricket across different eras and formats.

BCCI Naman Awards 2026 Honours Legends

The BCCI confirmed that the Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented during the Naman Awards ceremony scheduled for 2026. The awards are given to individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to Indian cricket.

Roger Binny, a key member of India’s 1983 World Cup-winning team and former BCCI President, will be recognised for his role as a player and administrator. His performances in the 1983 tournament remain among the most influential bowling displays in India’s World Cup history.

Rahul Dravid And Mithali Raj Recognised

Former India captain Rahul Dravid will also receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Dravid, widely regarded as one of India’s most dependable batters, played a crucial role in India’s success across formats during his international career and later served as head coach of the Indian men’s team.

Mithali Raj, one of the most successful cricketers in women’s cricket, will also be honoured. She holds several records in international women’s cricket and captained the Indian women’s team in multiple global tournaments, helping raise the profile of the women’s game in India.

Lifetime Achievement Awards In Indian Cricket

The Naman Awards recognise excellence in Indian cricket across international and domestic competitions. The Lifetime Achievement category specifically celebrates individuals whose careers have had a lasting impact on the development and growth of the sport.
