Bangladesh Confirms Busy International Home Cricket Season

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced a crowded home international calendar for 2026, featuring multiple bilateral series against top cricketing nations across all three formats. The schedule reflects Bangladesh’s continued integration into the global cricket calendar and its commitments under the ICC’s Future Tours Programme.

Series Against Major Teams

Bangladesh’s home season will include tours by Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and the West Indies. Pakistan are scheduled to tour early in the year for a limited-overs series, followed later by a Test series that will count towards the ICC World Test Championship. New Zealand will visit for a combination of One Day Internationals and T20 Internationals as part of bilateral obligations.

Australia are set to tour Bangladesh in mid-2026 for white-ball matches, marking a significant visit given the limited frequency of Australian tours to Bangladesh in recent years. India are also scheduled to tour later in the year for a short limited-overs series after the tour was rescheduled from an earlier cycle due to calendar constraints.

Tests and Championship Commitments

The home season will conclude with a Test series against the West Indies, contributing further to Bangladesh’s World Test Championship campaign. Across the year, Bangladesh are set to host multiple Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, making 2026 one of their busiest home seasons in recent times.
