Security forces launch search operation after two Territorial Army soldiers are abducted; one soldier manages to escape.

A Territorial Army (TA) soldier has reportedly been abducted by terrorists in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, according to sources cited by ANI on Wednesday, October 9. The incident occurred in a forested area of Anantnag, where two TA soldiers were targeted by the terrorists.

The sources revealed that while one of the soldiers managed to escape, the other remains missing. Security forces have launched a massive search operation in the region to locate the missing jawan. Efforts are currently underway to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted soldier.

Security Forces on High Alert

“Two jawans of the Territorial Army were abducted by terrorists in the forest area of Anantnag. Fortunately, one of them has returned. Security forces are actively searching for the remaining jawan,” ANI quoted sources as saying.

The abduction has raised concerns about the safety of security personnel in the region, which has seen a resurgence in terrorist activities targeting military forces. The incident has prompted security agencies to intensify their operations in the area to track down the terrorists involved.

Search Operations Intensify

The security forces, including the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and other paramilitary units, are conducting joint search operations to locate the missing soldier. Checkpoints have been set up, and a cordon-and-search operation is in progress in and around the area.
