Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has disclosed that 60% of the terrorists neutralized by Indian forces in the past year were of Pakistani origin. Highlighting the ongoing security concerns, General Dwivedi stated that the border situation remains tense but under control, with the Indian Army maintaining a high level of preparedness.

General Dwivedi emphasized that attempts by infiltrators to disrupt peace along the Line of Control (LoC) are being met with strong and decisive actions. He added that the Indian Army is leveraging advanced surveillance technologies, bolstered intelligence networks, and enhanced patrolling to counter cross-border infiltration effectively.

Addressing the nation’s security strategy, General Dwivedi reaffirmed the commitment of the armed forces to protect India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He warned that any attempts by state-sponsored elements to destabilize the region would be dealt with resolutely.

The Army Chief’s remarks also underline India’s concerns over state-sponsored terrorism, as he pointed out the involvement of hostile neighbors in facilitating and supporting militant activities. This aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to highlight such issues on international platforms and seek accountability for cross-border terrorism.
