Army Activates Counter-Drone Measures Along LoC in Rajouri

The Indian Army activated counter-drone measures along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district after suspected drones were detected near forward areas, officials said. Troops responded swiftly to the aerial activity as part of heightened border surveillance.

Drone Sightings and Immediate Response

Army units observed multiple suspected drones briefly hovering in areas close to the LoC before moving back towards the other side. In response, soldiers deployed counter-drone systems and opened fire to neutralise any potential threat. Ground search operations were also launched to check for possible drops of arms, ammunition or other contraband.

Heightened Vigil Along the Border

Security forces have increased monitoring along the LoC following recent drone sightings in the region. Officials said the Army remains on high alert to prevent cross-border infiltration attempts and to safeguard sensitive installations and civilian areas.

The Army continues to maintain enhanced surveillance using both ground-based and aerial assets, while coordination with other security agencies has been stepped up to respond to any future incidents.
