Amit Shah Says Top Agencies Probing Delhi Blast Intensely

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the deaths caused by the high-intensity blast near Delhi’s Red Fort and assured that the investigation is being carried out with the “full intensity” of India’s top security agencies. The explosion, which killed at least eight people and left several injured, has triggered a multi-agency probe involving national and local law enforcement units.

Shah’s Statement

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Amit Shah said, “Pained beyond words by the loss of lives in a blast in Delhi. My deepest condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Have visited the blast site and also met the injured in the hospital. My prayers for their quick recovery.”
He added that “top agencies are investigating the incident with full intensity” and assured that the government will go “in-depth into the incident” to identify those responsible.

Investigation Underway

Officials confirmed that forensic experts, Delhi Police’s Special Cell, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are jointly analysing evidence collected from the site. While the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be determined, investigators are examining possible terror links, given the magnitude and location of the blast. Security has been tightened across central Delhi as the investigation continues.
