Amit Shah Reviews Security In Chhattisgarh

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Chhattisgarh on February 8 to review security operations and development initiatives in areas affected by Left-Wing Extremism, with officials holding meetings on strategy and administration.

During the visit, Amit Shah held discussions with senior police and security officials on ongoing anti-Naxal operations. Authorities reviewed the current security situation, operational coordination and progress made in reducing extremist influence in affected districts.

Officials briefed the minister on recent measures including strengthened intelligence gathering, deployment patterns and coordination between central and state forces.

The review also covered development schemes in remote regions, focusing on road connectivity, communication infrastructure and welfare programmes. The government emphasised that security operations and development projects are being implemented together to stabilise vulnerable areas.

Authorities highlighted improvements in administrative reach and public services aimed at integrating affected communities into mainstream governance.

Centre State Coordination In LWE Areas

Meetings included coordination with state leadership on future strategy to further weaken extremist networks. The Centre reiterated continued support for capacity building of police forces and infrastructure expansion.

The visit is part of ongoing monitoring of security and governance efforts in Left-Wing Extremism-affected regions.
