Amit Shah Reviews J&K Security, Grants Forces “Full Freedom”

Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level review in New Delhi to assess the security situation in Jammu & Kashmir. The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Union Home Ministry, Intelligence Bureau, Indian Army, Central Armed Police Forces, and the J&K administration.

“Full Freedom” to Security Forces

Shah declared that security forces will continue to have full freedom to act against terror elements, stressing that any attempt to disturb peace will be crushed. He said that sustained operations over recent months have severely weakened the terror infrastructure in the region.

Winter Vigilance and Support

With winter approaching, Shah instructed agencies to remain alert to infiltration attempts through snow-covered routes. He praised the coordination shown during recent operations, including the Pahalgam attack response, and assured that resources for counter-terror actions will be fully provided.

Challenges Ahead

While the government projects confidence, maintaining long-term peace will require balancing aggressive counter-terror operations with safeguards for civilian rights. Analysts note that coordination and credible intelligence will remain critical in the months ahead.
