Amit Shah Greets PM Modi on 76th Birthday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 76 on Thursday, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah among senior leaders extending birthday greetings. Shah praised Modi’s political journey and highlighted what he described as 25 years of leadership in government, from Gujarat chief minister to Prime Minister.

Shah described Modi’s career as an example of sacrifice, national service and determination, saying his journey from a party worker to chief minister and Prime Minister demonstrated a sustained commitment to public life.
Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat. He served as Gujarat chief minister from 2001 until becoming Prime Minister in 2014.
Shah said he considered himself fortunate to have worked alongside Modi in different political and administrative roles.
Shah Highlights Welfare and Development Record
The Home Minister credited the Modi government with placing poorer citizens at the centre of several welfare programmes.
He cited housing schemes, Ayushman Bharat, the law criminalising instant triple talaq, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, Startup India, Skill India and the National Education Policy while outlining what he viewed as major achievements under Modi’s leadership.
Shah also pointed to infrastructure projects including the Chenab Railway Bridge, road development in the Northeast and the expansion of Vande Bharat trains.
Security Policies Feature in Birthday Message
Shah additionally highlighted the government’s national security policies, citing the abrogation of Article 370, surgical strikes, air strikes and Operation Sindoor as examples of what he described as a tougher approach towards terrorism.
He also referred to peace agreements in the Northeast and the government’s campaign against Left-wing extremism.
Shah wished Modi good health and expressed hope that India would continue progressing towards the government’s stated goal of becoming a developed country by 2047.
