Amit Shah Credits Intelligence for Operation Sindoor’s Success

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has credited India’s intelligence agencies for their critical role in the success of Operation Sindoor. He described the operation as a landmark achievement made possible by the seamless coordination between precise intelligence gathering and the strike capabilities of the Indian armed forces.

“Operation Sindoor is a shining example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive political will, supported by real-time intelligence inputs and the flawless execution by our Army, Navy, and Air Force,” Shah stated during his address at the inauguration of the upgraded Multi-Agency Centre (MAC) in North Block.

Shah emphasized that the integration of intelligence and operational arms of the Indian state is now more efficient and result-oriented than ever before.

Upgraded MAC to Strengthen Counter-Terrorism Framework

The upgraded Multi-Agency Centre, overseen by the Intelligence Bureau, is now equipped with cutting-edge technology, including AI-driven analytics, to detect emerging security threats. Shah noted that the MAC will serve as the nerve center for real-time intelligence sharing across agencies dealing with terrorism, narcotics, cybercrime, and cross-border threats.

The platform is being integrated with multiple government databases to ensure faster, more accurate decision-making. Shah underscored that MAC’s intelligence fusion capabilities would enable the identification of hotspots, movement patterns of terrorist groups, and predictive assessments for national security planning.

This transformation in intelligence architecture, he said, had directly contributed to the effectiveness of Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor and Its Strategic Success

Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7, was India’s direct military response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians. The operation resulted in precision strikes on terrorist infrastructure across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and selected strategic installations in Pakistan, including the Nur Khan Airbase.

Shah confirmed that over 100 terrorists were neutralized and multiple launchpads destroyed. He said the success was largely due to accurate pre-strike intelligence and continuous surveillance support provided to the forces during execution.

The operation, according to Shah, reaffirmed India’s doctrine of zero tolerance towards terrorism and displayed the increasing synergy between civil intelligence and military response.
