
Ambani Launches AI Subsidiary with Google & Meta
At the 48th Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries, Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of Reliance Intelligence, a wholly-owned subsidiary aimed at establishing India’s national-scale AI infrastructure.
Strategic Tech Partnerships
Reliance Intelligence will partner with Google to build an AI-focused cloud region in Jamnagar, powered by Jio’s network and clean energy. In parallel, Reliance has set up a joint venture with Meta backed by a ₹855 crore (approximately $100 million) investment. Reliance holds 70% and Meta 30%. The venture will offer enterprise AI tools using Meta’s Llama models for vertical and sector-specific AI applications.
Vision for AI across Sectors
The initiative targets enterprise-wide transformation, delivering AI capabilities to sectors like energy, retail, finance, and telecom. It also focuses on robotics and intelligent automation to modernize manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare systems.
