Al-Falah Students Reeling Amid Terror Probe Fallout
Investigators probing the November 10 car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort have widened their focus to Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Security agencies say the blast vehicle was parked on the university campus before the explosion, prompting a deeper inquiry into staff and operations. More than 200 doctors, employees and associates linked to the institution are now under scrutiny as part of the investigation.
Students Caught In The Crossfire
The fallout has directly affected around 600 students, many of whom say they invested significant money and effort into degrees that are now under a cloud. With the university’s reputation damaged, students fear their academic and career plans may be disrupted. Several students have expressed concerns over recognised accreditation, future admissions and job prospects.
Accreditation And Finance Under Question
Regulators have reportedly issued notices after allegations surfaced that the university operated with expired or misleading accreditation. Financial irregularities are also being examined. Enforcement agencies have claimed that the institution collected hundreds of crores in fees by making false assurances regarding course validity, infrastructure and recognition.
What Lies Ahead For Affected Students?
Students are now exploring options such as migrating to other institutions, seeking refunds or waiting for the regulatory process to conclude. Authorities have warned that until the investigation is complete, degrees issued during this period may face verification challenges, adding to student anxiety.
