Air India Cancels Saudi Flights Until October 20
Air India has extended the suspension of flights to and from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia until October 20, 2026, citing continuing security concerns in the Middle East. The airline announced the decision on Friday, October 16, confirming that affected passengers would be eligible for full refunds as it assesses conditions for safely resuming services.
Air India Extends Saudi Arabia Flight Cancellations
Air India said all its services connecting India with the three Saudi Arabian cities would remain cancelled through October 20.
The carrier stated that it was closely monitoring regional developments and reviewing operational conditions before deciding when flights could resume.
The extension follows disruptions to international aviation after missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including incidents affecting Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport.
How Passengers Can Claim Air India Refunds
Air India confirmed that passengers affected by the cancellations could request full refunds.
Travellers who booked through the airline’s website or mobile application can submit refund requests through the Manage Booking section.
Passengers who purchased tickets through travel agents or third-party booking platforms must contact their respective booking providers. Those who purchased tickets at Air India offices can approach the same office for assistance.
Refunds will generally be credited to the original payment method, while passengers can track eligible requests through Air India’s refund support service.
