Adani, Google to Build India’s Largest AI Hub
Adani Enterprises, through its joint venture AdaniConneX, has partnered with Google and Airtel to establish India’s largest AI data centre campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Scale and Scope
Google will invest $15 billion over five years (2026–2030) to create a 1-gigawatt data centre campus. The facility will be designed to handle massive AI workloads and global cloud services using advanced infrastructure. It will also feature a subsea cable system, renewable energy solutions, and fibre backbone expansion to strengthen India’s digital ecosystem.
Partnerships and Strategy
Adani will leverage its infrastructure and energy expertise, Airtel will provide connectivity, and Google will bring its cloud and AI computing power. The project is expected to place Visakhapatnam as a new digital hub on India’s east coast, complementing existing landing points in Mumbai and Chennai.
Officials said the campus will also support subsea cable landings, enhancing India’s role in global data flows.
